Why is UK conveyancing so slow?

UK conveyancing takes 20 to 24 weeks on average. Most of that time is spent waiting for solicitors to chase each other while information travels through intermediaries. Around 30% of transactions collapse before completion, largely because buyers and sellers have no visibility into progress.

How does PropXchain work?

You add the property, complete the TA6 and TA10 forms, pick your own providers and order your own searches, and every milestone is recorded on the Internet Computer blockchain. All parties (seller, buyer, conveyancer, estate agent) see the same live view of the transaction.

Is the blockchain audit trail legally valid?

Every action is recorded on-chain on the Internet Computer. Documents stay local to your device. Only their SHA-256 hashes are written to the blockchain, so verification is cryptographic but GDPR-compliant. Exchange of contracts is signed via tmSign QES (qualified electronic signature) for legal validity in England and Wales.

Accepted Answer

Yes. PropXchain is integrated directly with HM Land Registry's Business Gateway, so title checks, official copies and registration of dealings happen inside the platform.

What about AML and identity checks?

Accepted Answer

AML and KYC checks are handled in a single step via a regulated provider. Once completed, the AML certificate is stored on-chain and is reusable with lenders and other regulated parties, so you don't have to repeat the same check multiple times.
